Last week I had the pleasure of meeting with one of Strategic Programs Inc.’s transportation clients on-site to review their data with them. This group is highly respected in the industry and has been working with us for several years, effectively utilizing the data from more than one of our solutions across the employee engagement lifecycle.
After a collaborative and productive meeting with the leadership team, we were fortunate enough to be given a tour of their facilities. As someone who is not a Professional Driver, seeing a truck yard and maintenance facilities was a fascinating experience in that it provided me with a better understanding of the data that we analyze and report. The most memorable part of the tour was getting an opportunity to meet the front-line employees, some of whom I felt like I had met before because I recognized their names from the reports. I had the chance to meet the people who have made a difference in Drivers’ lives by listening to them and working to ensure their success as engaged employees.
As we walked through the different departments that make the company run, we complimented the employees on the high scores that their areas received from the Drivers. By seeing in-person the teamwork and commitment that led to their high scores, it reminded me of why we do what we do for companies. Improving the human ecosystems of organizations, one employee at a time, is something that everyone within a company can participate. As we go about the task of implementing change and driving org-wide initiatives for improvement based on quantitative and qualitative data, always take a moment to recognize and thank your employees who come to work every day and make a positive difference in the lives of your Drivers.
